Our ancient Indian scriptures divide food into 3 categories, such as-
Satvic or pure foods: These kinds of are foods that recover, comfort, juicy, smooth and increase longevity, intelligence and strength and are broken down well by our system.
Rajasik or the stylish foods: These are generally salty, hot and spicy, bitter, salty and can give rise to unwell health, grief or soreness.
Tamasik or the contaminated foods: These include stagnant, cold, left over foods, impure and half prepared triggering great harm to the mind and your body.
Food is one aspect of the life that we take for granted. We could less mindful of the foodstuff that we consume. All of us leave our body to deal with the frequent abuse from our day to day lives and lifestyles. We, humans, without taking our body with no consideration, need to create health creating systems and build an oneness with food, productive exercises, yoga, helpful breathing and meditation, slumber and sleep and be spiritually aware and mindful. Actions translate into better stamina, strength, tone and energy with emphasis on the whole body as an entity, the one that accentuates wellness and wellbeing.
